Friday we drove all the way to Joshua Tree, two hour drive, to buy the annual senior National Parks pass. Since we were already there I told my husband let's go in. We didn't go very far into the park and we were only there for about 30 minutes. Saturday, we drove to the Sequioa National Park, which was about 4.5 hours drive. We got there at about 9:40 am and we left a little after 5 pm. It was a long day. We were so tired today that all we did was make a trip to Costco. We spent the rest of the day watching TV and on our computers. My weight is still around the same. One day I will need to get some serious lard off because yesterday's walk really did me in.
We were stationed in Long Beach in 77-81 and we just never got out there, but we did go to Lake Elsinore which was so pretty. We went to San Diego about 10 times and up to Hearst Castle and to Sacramento. We didn't have a lot of money, so it was one reason we didn't go far and there was a lot to do in the area.
Do take care of your health. I'm 70 and I've gone from 214# to 136# in the 12 yrs I've been on sparks, thanks to finding my doctor. Listen on Youtube to an interview he gave:
