We were supposed to go to the 4 corner states in April but the corona virus shut that trip down. We decided to drive there last weekend. We drove through Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Arizona again. The first stop was the Horseshoe Bend. We left our house around 4:45 am and got there around 4:45 pm. It was a two mile hike to the Bend and back. After we left the Bend we Boon docked at a Walmart up the street. The next day we went to the Glen Canyon Dam. On the way there we saw a scenic route sign and I asked my husband to go down that street. We ended up at the Glen Canyon Dam Overlook. We had to go down a few flights of rocky steps but it was worth it. Then we went to the Dam and walked across the bridge. It was still early when we finished so we drove to the 4 Corners. They were closed due to the virus. So we drove by and went into Colorado. Of course we stopped to get a picture with the sign. After we left Colorado, we drove through New Mexico and didn't know it until we reached the Arizona/New Mexico State Line. There was no photo opportunity with a New Mexico sign. We spent the night at a Love's Travel Stop in Joseph City. Sunday we drove to Winslow. We went to the historic route 66 sign. The sun wasn't up to get a good picture so we drove back to another travel stop to get gas and water. We also dumped our tanks. That took awhile because this huge RV pulled in while we were dumping and we had to wait to get some water and gas. By the time we went back to the sign, the sun was up. But on the way back we saw another Winslow sign and took some pictures. There was also a Jazz singer there. After Winslow, we got back on the road. We stopped in Williams because my husband wanted KFC. We had more than enough food but he wanted something other than what we brought. So, we took pictures with that sign. We stopped one more time at a rest stop to eat dinner, which was leftover KFC. We made it home around 9:30 pm. It was a nice trip. When I got back, I was down 3 pounds. We got a lot of exercise.
