Yay! I am free of support equipment for my ankle. This means I am encouraged to get back my previous athleticism. I'm still in the care of a PT. She has given me two goals for the next two weeks, in addition to the exercises I'm already doing for stretching and balance. 1) Increase my walking from two miles to four, and continue to increase my speed. 2) Do single-foot heel lifts increasing from 10 to 25 per foot. (Those are hard!!) The aim of all this is to tighten my foot joints and strengthen my ankles. Today, I accidentally walked off a high curb. Not only did I not hurt anything, but I maintained my balance and didn't fall to the ground. That is proof to me that this PT effort is working. My weight is coming down very slowly. I reduced the daily calories by about 125 calories. I will find out Friday if this is helping. Gotta keep on truckin'!

Those PT folks are good at what they do. Good luck on the scale.
