Given the Boot!

Ha! Well, I have a fractured fibula, and I'm wearing a walking boot. So counting steps is out for at least 5 weeks, when more x-rays are taken to see if things have healed. I have been religiously tracking my food. I lost 5 lbs in the first week. Certainly some of it was bloat from the trip back from Europe as well as ankle swelling. This second week, I'm still being just as "good" but so far, no further loss. Dang! I will keep at it. I know this system works. Most likely, it's due to lack of exercise. Time to get out the dumbbells and the stretch band, and seek alternate exercise routines. Gotta keep on trucking.

    Did one of the chair videos tonight. It was a good workout (albeit short), at least it worked up a sweat! I purchased a better resistance band, and moved my dumbbells into range of my chair.. The next step is to add some upper body routines. Where there is a will, there is a way!

    Yep, we gotta do the best we can with what we have. Set-backs help us appreciate our body and its' awesome ability. Rather than focusing on what we can't do, we are required to shift our thoughts and aspirations towards what we CAN do! You got this, Barb. emoticon
