Thursday Thriving

Thursday, December 06, 2018

Whew, only now getting a breather. I was up very early to drink lots of water before bloodwork at 7:00. Husband and I both overslept, so I wasn't sure I'd have time to have drunk enough. But the nurse said I obviously had come well hydrated. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon It took longer because my doctor orders LOADS of blood work before annual physical. Of course after all that water, the first place I went after the blood draws was the restroom--and THEN they realized a urine specimen was also on the list. emoticon I glugged down more water--and waited....till mission accomplished. emoticon I was starving by the time I got to work. I had just enough time before the cafeteria closed for the morning to go get eggs, cheese grits, and sausage AND my coffee. emoticon

Yum! Eggs and grits... I enjoy grits, but rarely have them... I may have to eat breakfast out soon at one of the places that cooks them well. 😋

I deliberately didn't go to the restroom until after I asked the nurse if I would need to give a urine sample. She said no, so I went, then doctor said yes, Ulp, no time to do what you did, so no urine tests done that trip.

Here my Dr. tells me NO water before blood work, and here you have to gulp lots down. Must be different test than I have, mine is for chorelesteral, never have been able to remember how to spell it,and blood sugar. And spell check no help at all. lol Good luck, hope nothing serious.
