The rains have stopped and the skies are glorious this early morning hour. Bernie and I are up early; sleep in was not in the picture. Even though we got lots of walking miles in yesterday, and both of us were exhausted last night, early risers is obviously what we are this morning. Plans for the day, I big walk and then off to see a new client for a consultation.

I mentioned on yesterday’s blog that I didn’t want to be “redundant” by blogging about my food craze of granola 4 years ago. I do realize this is a weight site and there are more than enough blogs discussing food issues. I just feel that blogging more about how to deal with life’s challenges, lifestyle changes and so on is more beneficial than writing about what I put in my mouth. That is why I rarely talk about weight/food/calories, etc… I rather talk about life.

This weekend I am invited to a holiday party my friend is giving. I normally am not a party goer, I don’t drink alcohol and find most parties of this nature can be a bit uncomfortable. It will be a younger crowd, cocktails and hors deurves on the invite, and very “holiday-ish” in style. But she is a dear friend and wanted me to be there so I am going. It’s just one of those things I committed to and once I commit, I show up.

Bernie is doing well, his ears are clearing up, and he seems happy and very content in his new life with me. We have developed a routine and he seems quite adaptable so life is good at home.

Well, it’s time for my walk; I need to bundle up and get going. Find time to move around Sparkees, grab your winter coat and bite the bullet. It’ll do you some good, ya know?

I'm with you on the "life" focus: and truly believe that it's "life" underlying lots of the "weight" focus blogs too!!

How lovely to get out there with Bernie!! I persuaded my DH to join me on my recess walk today and my goodness we REALLY needed to bundle up!!

I had to chuckle when you said you had to "bundle" up for your walk, I know that here bundling up at the temps you are having is probably just a thin sweatshirt. lol Right now it is only in the 20's, so that means maybe a heavier sweatshirt. Only a heavy coat when it gets below zero. then it is worth bundling up.
Glad Bernie is feeling better. It is a worry when we know that they are not feeling well. Merlin right now is in for his afternoon nap, right beside my chair.
Have a good time at the party, I know you can adapt to the situation, and will find something to visit about with some of the other guests.

It's so good to hear Bernie's improvements. We finally have a bit of sun this afternoon so I will be putting on my long underwear so Daisy and I can have a nice walk! You're right it does feel good.
