Here we go again

Stardate... Dec 6 2018. Feels like groundhog day, keep doing the same thing. SO after stressing out with 3 generations in the house I finally had to do something. Dropped off doing everything. Pastas, pizza, alcohol, candy. I was doing it all. Felt like crap, not sleeping, taking a sleeping aid to help sleep.

So Monday I said enough! Try the low carb low sugar again. I tried Keto last spring worked for a few weeks then I got the Keto flu. So trying just stay away from carbs and sugar as much as possible. Started with black coffee, Never in my life have I liked it. OK, not so bad at breakfast. 2 eggs and veg for breakfast, leftover turkey chili for lunch and pork loin and veg for dinner. No snacks during the day except some nuts. Repeat each day. Got to Thursday and haven't fallen yet and amazing, not hungry and dropped 7 pounds!

So I am going to go this way as much as I can. I hope it works, I know the holiday and weekends will be a challenge but I am determined! Was planning to make the Christmas cookies but this year no. Cause I will eat them!

I canceled my November Dr appt because he would yell I gained weight and my sugars would be out of whack and he'd be pushing me towards being a diabetic. So I have to lose 30 before I go back.

Wish me luck!

I love sugar and I am addicted to it. It's been over 8 weeks since I eliminated it from my diet and it's made a world of difference - weight, appetite, energy, sleep. I'm not someone who can take things in moderation, it's all or nothing. So for now it's nothing. I know that this will change over the Christmas holidays and I hope that I will have the strength to go back to nothing when they are over. Good luck in your journey. Do what works for you.

Stay true to yourself no matter what comes your way. Trying to keep any sugar in your life is fighting with fire. Do yourself the greatest gift and freedom by kicking it to the curb. You will be amazed at the difference once you get past 3-4 days of abstinence. With that said everyone must pick their own demons and see what works and what doesn't. Good for you making the changes.

After a few weeks of eating Keto ... I think you got a real flu, not the Keto flu. Just a guess, because the Keto flu is when you run out of stored carbs in glycogen, and that happens very early on, like in about 3 days.

So my guess is that last time you transitioned fairly well, and will do so again.
