I never give up. I never back down. One step, One pound, One goal, One day at a time.

I began my health journey in 2009. I started with SparkPeople and with sheer will and determination, and the help of SP I lost 50 pounds. That 50 pound loss, gave me a new life and with that new life, new opportunities came with it. In 2015 some personal traumas happened and since then, I've regained almost all the 50 pounds I'd lost and now I am fighting to put myself first and get back to being HEALTHY and strong. I no longer worry about "weight" so much, but more, I prefer to focus on being physically, mentally, emotionally STRONG. My health, my outlook on life, my marriage all mean more than being "skinny" ! I am more mindful of the food I eat and focus on nutrition vs calories. I am more mindful of my fitness level and use my workouts as stress & depression management, focus on agility, flexibility, strength and building lean muscle. I am more focused on being grateful and blessed vs worrying about what the number on a scale says. And I never give up on my personal goals.


S - SPECIFICALLY, I want to lose 8lbs or more and build more lean muscle over the next 12 weeks.

M - MEASURABLE by tracking my meals, fitness and using a tape measure & progress photos.

A - ATTAINABLE by walking at least 1 mile every day, sticking to the fitness program I am doing and lifting heavier weights. Being mindful of the food I eat and not eating for pleasure or comfort, but for nourishment and fuel only.

R - REALISTIC by focusing on a 1 - 1.5# loss a week, I can reach my goal within the 12 week period of this challenge.

T - TIME I want to achieve this goal during the next 12 weeks.
