Retired and loving it. I live in Las Vegas. I love reading and playing with my IPad. I believe in the power of positivity and try to seek out the positive in every day.

May 2019

I can’t believe 4 months of this year has come and gone. The year is moving swiftly along. April was another good month for me. I lost an additional 1.9 pounds in April. More important, I am now 80 pounds down and only 13 pounds from my chosen goal weight.

Still hopeful I can reach my short term goal of 10 pounds by June 30. I need to pick up the pace. Or maybe, put down the fork. 😆😆

I am still working to reach my goal weight and enter maintenance by the end of the year.

New month. Same focus. No negativity allowed.

My Goals:
For April, cut my carb intake down to 100 grams or less daily. Most carbs from whole or minimally processed foods.

Follow LCHQ meal plan. Carb grams of no more than than 150 daily. Do 30 minutes (minimum) of intentional exercise a day. Get 10K daily steps on my Fitbit. Less processed and more Whole Foods in my diet. A minimum of 3 vegetables/fruits daily.


My Program:
Portion control, moderation, low carbs, sugar, and sodium with less processed foods and minimum sweets.

Short term goal, lose 10 pounds by June 30.
Starting weight: 167.8 lbs
April 1: 165 lbs

I love to read, play the penny slots, and hang out with friends. I have successfully created a healthier lifestyle that will not only get me to goal but will allow me to keep the weight off through maintenance and beyond.
