I am updating my page as we moved from upstate NY to Tucson AZ. I am still unpacking and have yet to start back up finding a fitness center or exploring the facilities were we are renting. I will miss my team mates and friends in NYState. The information that follows was where I was and the wonderful support group that I left. I am competing as a team member with a great group of women. Our program is called Dare to Lose! There are some similarities to the biggest loser. We meet twice a week for 1 1/2 hours with our trainers, have challenges and weigh ins and are responsible for watching our food intake and exercising at least 2 more times a week. Each session is 8 weeks long so there is a mix of newcomers and those who have participated in earlier sessions. There is a lot of positive support from both the participants, trainers and other fitness center members. We are working hard at getting fit and losing weight.

Thanks for the name, I don't know why, but I thought it was Linda, all this time. Sorry. And No, I don't have to trim Duke, he sheds great on his own, maybe just a couple of snips on his butt but otherwise his all just sheds off, must be the color. hahahaha

Hi! Right now you can get adenium just about anywhere from specialty nurseries to places like Home Depot and Lowes. They are extremely frost sensitive, so most people in Tucson grow them in pots, then bring them indoors for the winter. I love them, but I've definitely killed plenty of them over the years as they are rather finicky. They can survive months without water, but will die within days of root rot if they are getting too much water. Once they go dormant when the temps start to drop, you need to stop watering them until the following spring. But I think they are worth it! They can tolerate full sun, but usually need to be adapted to it from nursery growing conditions. Once the temps are over 100, they pretty much will stop putting out new blooms though.
