I'm 73. another years has gone by, so now I am 74,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

At least the ants in the bathroom are done in. We set out some fresh Terro for the persistent kitchen ones. At least I'm getting lots of kitchen cleaning done.

    Wednesday MISSIONS
Might be going to choir tonight, and if I do, that'll be it for the evening. Otherwise,
    1. Any necessary ant cleaning
    2. Empty dishwasher

OK, choir is on. Maybe I can get husband to empty dishwasher before I get back. Ant cleaning will need to be done in any case. Got to stay ahead of those little pests.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my Maintenance - Self Motivating Blog. This has been quite the journey and until today, I never really thought about what 50# really looks like. LOL I am only 5 feet tall, and barely at that. That's quite the load for a short person. LOL

I just relabeled my Monday MISSIONS. Didn't get anything done last night. I had two lengthy phone calls, and after that it was too late to do extra cooking. At any rate, we enjoyed a nice long phone visit with older daughter. She had been hiking on Mt Ranier and sent us some great pictures.

Husbands are included to my dinner. It is hard for me to comprehend a life without buddies to share life with......I have to agree with you, your culture is much different than here.....

My work life is all backwards. I actually had it easier when kids were at home and I worked a collection of part time jobs that allowed me a lot of flexibility. At least I work only Mon-Fri and not odd hours and weekends unless I'm doing a stint of choir in Tampa. I have a wedding and a concert coming up, and then I'll sing through Advent and Christmas. It's some nice extra pocket money, and I love the Christmas music.
