I'm 75. another years has gone by, so now I am 75,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

Taking your tip and leaving a $5 IS pretty low. As you said, I hope he needed it. What's with people???

emoticon There's no coffee goodie, so I'm sending you this instead: emoticon emoticon emoticon I just had to be bad and send you the last one with goodies! Hope your Monday is going well. I just don't have enough weekend. Was nearly late for work thanks to senior cat who sometimes won't eat today what she ate last night. Another meeting at my house tonight with a bit of last min tidying to do after work but not very much. I put chicken thighs in the crockpot before work so the house will smell inviting when I get home, and I have leftover lentil rice stew from last night. I went out for lunch today at Sweet Tomatoes, something I rarely do. Salads were good, the rest so-so. A large male said loudly on my way out, "WHOA, aren't you going to leave anything??" Yes, Mr nosy-parker, I did; it was behind my plate. Excuse ME. Grrr. emoticon

I am going to give it a try next time, although doing the push mower was pretty good exercise.

Oh Linda, thank you so much for your kind words. I had absolutely no idea how hard it would be to take care of another human being. I raised 5 children essentially by myself but with children you can make them do what you want them to do - they may not like it but a parent has leverage. A wife has very little leverage. I'd ask him "Do you NOT trust me?" I know that's not it, he just wants to have control. And I'm good with that as long as he is making good choices! Thanks for being my friend and supporting me through this.
