I want to be healthy and be able to do the things that I enjoy without my weight holding me back. I want to practice what I preach when people talk to me about eating clean and exercising, and I try to share my knowledge on the subject, but it's coming from someone who doesn't walk the talk and so it's not taken seriously.

Starting today on 08/10/2017 I am 4'11" and weight 207LBS. I am morbidly obese and have been for years. I start and stop and start and stop and buy things to "motivate me" and stop. I own a lot of at home workouts and equipment, a gym membership, etc. My problem is MOTIVATION. I need to find my motivation.

I have plenty of motivating factors: diabetes runs strong in my family, I'm 30 and already experience some knee and foot pain due to my weight, my weight holds me back from doing things I want to do or doing things that I love, I hold myself back in relationships because of low self esteem tied to my weight, the list goes on.

I would love the support and wisdom from others, and if you need a friend I'm here for you too :-)

My Goals:
Lose weight and BMI, feel stronger and healthier, and enjoy life and the things I like doing.

Starting weight: 206.8 on 08/10/2017
First Goal Weight: 189 by 11/01/2017


My Program:
Food: I've been a vegetarian since 2014 and went vegan in 2016. I am still eating too much processed foods and vegan junk. I work two jobs: a full time desk job and a 20 hour a week standing/walking job in a department store. Between the two jobs my food challenge is to have enough food cooked or prepped ahead of time to make it through my double days, and when I DO need to buy food on the fly I need to change my way of thinking so that my first thoughts are for healthy options rather than past default of quick bad foods.

Fitness: Starting off slowly, because I tend to bite more than I can chew and then feel like a failure and fall off the plan.

August Program:
Clean up my vegan diet so that I'm eating less processed foods, and track ALL my food intake at least 4X a week. I want to do some form of "extra" exercise every day, even if that means just walking a few laps around my building at work during breaks, doing calf raises while I'm stocking shelves at my second job, start



Personal Information:
I love to read, watch movies, hike/trail walk, be out in the woods in general, cooking and baking, spending time with my family and friends.


Other Information:
My additional goals in life that I will be tracking in my blogs are: to be wiser with my money (less going out to eat and wasting food), less impulse purchases that I don't really need, find a job/career that I love or at least enjoy, finding a balance between being kind and being a doormat.
