Hi, everyone. I am a 68 yr old female who retired early from teaching to care for a dear friend with terminal cancer. She passed away in 2004 and I have continued to live life to it's fullest. Having been in a sedentary life style for over 15 years took a toll on my physical being. I need to regain strength, stamina and lose some of the weight I put on in the last 30+ years. By doing so it will afford me more joy as I share this God given world with others.

My Goals:
To ultimately lose 40% of my body weight. Five pounds per month would make me happy. I do not want to set myself up for failure. So I will just keep plugging at it. The short term goal is 10 lbs at a time. Feel good, look good, be happy.

My Program:
Portion control, lean balanced diet, high in fruits and veggies, low in simple carbs. I have also learned that I must write down every thing that enters my mouth for I was not being honest with myself.

Started Rehab for my back in the Spring of 2015 and now go to the gym 3 days a week for strength training and mild cardio.

It is now the Fall of 2015 and discouraged over limited weight loss. May have to add more cardio throughout the week.

Personal Information:
I spend the winters in Central Florida and the summers in Southern Ontario. It is the best of both worlds and needs an able body to enjoy it more fully.

Other Information:
Crafts and woodworking are hobbies I enjoy. A good paddle in the kayak or an evening fishing are good times to me.
